We took over the hotel in October 2000 and we have then closed for more than nine months of complete renovation: the Decorator retaining only the elevator which is a museum piece, the Carrara marble stairways and the façade classified as a historical monument. We have re-opened as a 4 star hotel but very different from the other traditional hotels in Cannes: opening our doors Le Cavendish is offering a most personalised individual service while flauanting inimitable elegance. |
The building is dated 1897 and we decided to refurbish and redecorate in the tradition of the French Riviera de luxe properties. Luxurious bedrooms reflecting the splendour of last century «demeures», a Lounge Bar full of the delightful charms of a winter garden and a reception salon in which antiques assorted with travel trinkets, under the hovering spirit of Lord Cavendish, shall transport you in all serenity into another era. |

The desire of the new owners of Le Cavendish is to give guests the feeling of entering a private house rather than a simple hotel. In fact, this first "boutique hotel" of Cannes is a magical address for all travellers attached to the traditions of first class hostelry wedded to the charm of refine and subtle details. |
The Lounge Bar is in itself a key room of the hotel and you shall be bewitched by its luminescent colours on orange and yellow backgrounds offset by a red ceiling: whether it is for breakfast where the guests are pleasently surprised by the inviting smell of hot croissants and the wide choice of loose leaf tea or to take evening drinks by candlelight in a cosy and intimate atmosphere. |
