Hotel is located very close to the bus stop,
approx. 3 minute walk, and easy to do with
luggage. Front desk staff were very
friendly and welcoming, and made the
language barrier a non issue. Very pleased
with the staff.

Despite the photo's being exactly what was
there, the room still seemed very small. As
well, it was a little further from the
Promanade de Anglais than was shown on the
map. The advertisment stated sound proof
rooms, however, there is a night club below
the hotel which was very noisy.

Easy and quick. They stored our luggage for
us so that we could enjoy the whole day
prior to leaving.
The staff had our bill prepared, and
explained it to us. Paying by credit card
took about 30 seconds. There were no
surprises in the bill.

Make sure people know there is a fridge in
the room, had we known that, we would have
brought a kettle or coffee machine with us.
We were able to keep water and fruit which
was great. There is no coffee or tea
available except in the morning, and there
is a vending machine that is very expensive
for water and juice (2 euro for a can of
water), so it is better to buy items
outside.

Its a really small budget hotel in a busy
retail/residential neighbourhood close to
everything by foot. It has parking
available if you rent a car. The rooms are
very small, but clean and made up daily by
housekeeping. For what you pay, it is a
great deal and I would stay there again if I
return to Nice. Great for people who are not
interested in spending much time in the
room. It say's it is 'soundproofed' but the
street below is very busy and noisy. The
airconditioning works great, so you can
sleep with the window closed. Over all, it
is similar to a hostel style private room,
but very clean.

Your hotel in Nice has a lot of defects.
When we arrived a very hot Sunday, the air-condition wasn't on.
The refrigerator was defect, and the shower have a defekt tube.
The elevator was prehistoric, and it was very hot inside the hotel.
This hotel had no atmospher, and we arrived from a three stars hotel in Cap the Antibes
who gave us satifaction.
Your hotel isn't more than two stars or lower, and we will never stay by you again.

A fairly inexpensive, clean, friendly, safe place to stay. No unnecessary frills. Great location: easy walk to station, beach, old city, shopping area, etc. Very helpful staff.

we were allowed to leave our suitcase in the lobby during the last day. this is very helpful and gave us a relaxing last day in Nice

good value. basic comforts. very quiet at the rear of the hotel which is unusual for Nice.

The situation regarding parking wasn't clear. There wasn't any provided by the hotel. We found a 24 hour car park nearby (by chance). It would have been helpful to have had directions for this in advance.

The staff were warm and welcoming. We took along our dog as prearranged at time of booking, which was not a problem at all. It was in a great location.

The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel was very conveniently located, near both the beach, the old town and the shopping district. However, the rooms are rather small and the bathrooms could have been renovated. This was no problem, though, as we had seen the pictures and were prepared.

I didn't expect the condition of the hotel to be so shabby. Actually I consider this particular hotel two-star one but not three-star. One big bed actually consisted of two smaller beds one of which was broken in the middle. There was no wardrobe, just some construction that looks very far like the real wardrobe. And there was TV set but without remote control unit.

Good two-stars hotel to stay on vacation because it's located on half way to different sights (Massena square, old town, Promenade des Angles, railway station and shopping street). Not a new one but with very nice and polite staff.

Well, the pictures tell (and sometimes lie) more than thousand words. I'm not familiar with requirements of French tourism ministry regarding grading of the hotels, but I would not grade Hotel De Kent with 3 stars. This doesn't mean we didn't enjoy our stay. The staff was lovely and always helpfull and friendly, but the condition of hotel rooms and overall exterior and interior wasn't what we expected. Rooms were clean, but the property seems like it needs some serious repairs, especially the bathrooms.

I don't know if it's vise, but if you want to be fair, you should take new photos and not blur or othervise edit the photos to look better than the reality actually is... ;-)

Old, worn out building, which has a lot of potential to be a great hotel if some repairs would be applied. The staff is lovely, but the rooms fairly decent...
