The history of " Le Cagnard " is close from the Castles'one: the Guard's Room, with its fire place, its archway and its channel wich leads directly to the Castle are the witnesses of this period. The painter Emile Wery decorated the archway of its roomwith fancy and exotism in 1925. Across the Centuries " Le Cagnard " greeted great personages like the musketeer D'Artagnan. |
 A long time, Nicolette and Aucassin felt in love in our dwelling, their love story can be compared at Romeo and Juliette's one: an impossible love. The writers Simone de Beauvoir, Antoine de St Exupery (the writer of "The little prince"), Marcel Pagnol and Foujita and Soutine slept in some of our rooms. |
 The restaurant of Le Cagnard is one of the best restaurants of the area, it is located in the Nice Room, with its splendid ceiling painted , Style "Renaissance", opening under the mediterranean sky. The hotel offers also a meeting room for 25 people with a private terrace. |
