An exceptional
geographical situation halfway between Cannes and Monaco, an economic
dynamism, Saint Laurent du Var is a city resolutely round towards
the future, with an Old Village however having preserved testimonys
of a past deeply related to the Var. The sea is the first passion,
water level is famous for the practice of the nautical activities,
in particular the board with veil. As for the marina, one of the
most significant marina of the Côte d'Azur, it is skirted
by the Promenade des Flots Bleus, a pleasant place of flanery and
night environment.
A city of character,
Saint Laurent du Var offers to connaisseurs both the advantages
of a modern city and the charm of an ancient village, combining
modernity (one of the largest shopping malls on the Riviera), with
ancient remains from the past as the shady streets of the old village.
The town's motto is, "Digo li que vengon", which means
"Tell them to come".
Located on the
delta of the Var river, Saint Laurent du Var's marina and its many
sunlit restaurants welcome you all year round. To reach the marina,
take the Promenade des Flots Bleus. Every year in July, watch the
concerts organised during the Blues Festival, which attracts international
star musicians. While walking about in the shady narrow streets,
you can admire remnants of the past, then you can take the green
promenade along the Var to the magnificent commercial center and
its many boutiques.
Saint Laurent
du Var is a young common in full expansion. A long time, the floral
and market-gardening cultures constituted the essence of its economic
activity, but this image of a close past does not correspond any
more to reality of today. Equipped with a park of industrial activity
active and modern in north and with a very dynamic sea front in
the south with the commercial district of Cape 3000 and the marina,
this city is resolutely turned towards the future, ready to face
the future expiries.
