A wonderful, wonderful place! The owners were welcoming, the breakfast was spectacular, the facilities were terrific....I wish I could go back tonight. Truly a spectacular place to stay near Nice and Cannes.

A web site cannot communicate the wonderful ambience of the hotel.

The warmest and friendliest hotel in all of France!!We met and mingled with the other guests, all of whom were interesting and talkative.The accomodations were as described and a good value. The location and view Superb! John and Ann (the owner operators)could not have been more accomodating and helpful.

What ever we asked for we were granted. The children were hungry and snacks were provided for them along with cold beverages, and cocktails for us. Dinner reservations were made for us for that evening. The restaurant was unbelievable.

The washroom was so so large that you could have had a party in it. Pillows and bedding were like the ones at home, top quality

Our check out was very early in the morning the owners provided us with chocolate /plain croissants and bottled water for our departure.

Not a negative word to be said from my mouth Absolutely spectacular. Paradise!!!! The view is breath taking. You could not have asked for a better host and hostess Worth every bit of money
I do have to say though we wished we would have stayed longer!!!! We will most definately return. I get hte chills just thinking about our vacation.

Having been home only a week, we have already recommended Villa St Max to friends. Would definitely return. Owners Anne & John are delightful, great hosts & make you feel you are guests in their home - a fabulous home. Breakfast on the terrace starts the day with good food accompanied by an awe inspiring view of the countryside down to the sea. We extended our stay.

Great architecture and interesting art collection are a plus. Furnishings were top-notch and comfortable. Pool was pristine and large. Location was perfect for exploring the Cote d'Azur and Provence. We traveled with our nine year old daughter and she felt very welcome & had a blast!

Peacful, relaxing haven overlooking a fortified ancient village. Breathtaking views. Perfect for couples or a group of friends needing to chill out and enjoy eachothers company. Probably one of the nicest swimming pools I have swam in.

We found the facility to be in a lovely site and most tastefully appointed. Our breakfasts were excellent and the host and hostess, John and Ann, were extremely accommodating. I had found a web site for the Cote d'Azur and have posted a glowing review for the villa there.

Ann greeted us like old friends and we were made to feel immediately at home.

We have never stayed in a place like it - very relaxing and beautifully appointed. This was all due to Ann & John, they are the most hospitable and friendly hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. It was like staying with friends.

It was like being in your own home but with special services
The villa in itself is quite extaordinary, I like the fact that it was more of a villa and not a hotel.No big reception at entrance, but yet the owners were very professional and maitained that professionalism through out our stay.
