The Côte
d'Azur has 31 pleasure boat harbours. The commercial port, in Nice,
is the closest French of Italian port to Corsica. In the summer,
there are up to three round trips per day to Corsica by giant car-ferry.
Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Cannes are centres for the growing
cruise business. The Antibes harbour has become the largest marina
in Europe, welcoming the largest private yachts in the world.
